Meet William Nicholas

William is such an easy baby! He is a champion nurser. He latched on instantly at the hospital and we've only had to break off and retry a few times since then. William is a great sleeper! He loves to be swaddled, and as long as he is swaddled and not hungry he will sleep for several hours at a time. The nurses at the hospital were getting frustrated with me for not waking him up to eat. He would eat and eat and eat and then sleep for 5 hours or slightly longer. Most nights he eats as I go to bed, wakes once or twice to eat and then again in the morning. I have gotten so much sleep and I feel great!

William is a happy baby! He often smiles at us and loves to look at you as you hold him. I love watching him sleep, he is so animated, especially when he is sleeping. He makes the cutest faces and sounds. Makes me wonder what is happening in his dreams. William is also a snorer! He tends to be a noisy baby overall, breathing loudly, and making lots of noises throughout the day.

Everyone is loving having a new baby around. Alexis is a great helper and is really wanting to take care of William. Emily still tends to want to take care of Nater, not William, but she likes to hold and touch William. Nater is very curious about the new baby. He likes to rub his head and touch his face. He often wants to hold William and, instead of waiting patiently for help, he will try to pull William off your lap and onto his own. We are learning to be gentle. Philip loves having another boy. He often wants to take the baby from me and hold him. He is an expert at getting William to go to sleep and I have gotten quite used to looking over and seeing Philip holding the baby in one arm and doing something else with the other hand. As much as I love that, I get so jealous! I want to hold my baby all the time. I want to just sit and stare at him. We all love having William in our arms and he has quickly found his place in all of our hearts.
