More Beach Play

We are really starting to love going to the Cheatham Dam beach. William still hates the water, but we have fun. And looking at these pictures made me decide to go back for Labor Day before they closed.

I love that they let you borrow life jackets. The girls feel more confident in them.

Even if he doesn't play in the water, he still has fun.
These smore creations were strawberry marshmallows in a fudge covered graham cracker.
A definite hit!

Note the body covered in sand. She climbs out of the water and army crawls through the sand.
He looks like a french man to me.

After playing at the beach we go across the parking lot and play at the playground for a while. I love the way Johnathon helps William on these swings and plays so nicely with his brother. They all play really well at this playground, come to think of it.

I was there.

Pushing his brother in the swing. They both love it!
Probably almost as much as I love it.
Possibly, more.

Can You Believe Alexis Chose A Dinosaur Birthday?

If you know her at all, you will not be surprised that Alexis chose a dinosaur theme for her birthday party. This year she did most of the planning, which was bittersweet. I am glad she knows what she wants and can make it happen, but planning parties is MY job. I like it and don't want to give control over to the girls. We worked together to compromise on things. It turned out pretty nicely. And best of all, she had fun!

She decorated her invitations with help from Emi and I

The goodie bags.

Dino style goodie bags of course.

Each guest got a goodie bag, binoculars, and a dino hat.

One of the free-play activities.

And dinosaur prints for the other free-play activity.
Bones= candy teeth, chocolate skeleton and pretzels and marshmallows covered in chocolate.

This was so much fun to make. It ended up looking like it was boxing.
Philip created our t-rex melon

Such a tasty scene.
The cake

Dinosaurs greeted you at every turn.

My kiddos while we prepared.

Singing to the birthday girl.

A final look at all the goodies (sorry it is so blurry).
