Philip and I once made an agreement that every year he takes me to a
Renaissance Festival, he gets a new piece to wear with his kilt. This year, he
got a sporran. I love this agreement! I can't wait until the kids are
old enough for us to use the Renaissance Festival as a way to learn and
discuss the past, but for now, its just a lot of fun. Oh, and lest you worry that he is the only one that walks away with a souvenir, he bought us each something special too. (Me a crown, Mir a headdress, Lex a unicorn mask, Emi a ring, Nater a bow/arrow set).

I loved seeing these two walking around in their kilts. So many people commented on how cute Nater was in his kilt. |

We watched a human chess game. This was the "king" on our side of the game. |
|
A battle between the kings. Unfortunately, our side lost. |

We also watched a jousting tournament. Well, part of it, before it was time to go home. |

And this may be the first time I have actually seen a camel. |
