Good Day!

I've always wanted to attend a Renaissance fair. So this year, I drug the family along to one. We all ended up having a great time and the husband got a kilt :) I've ALWAYS loved the husband in a kilt.

DTE only made it a few feet before seeing others in costumes and announcing, "Mom, we are supposed to dress up to come here" We got a bit of dress up as soon as possible with the great sword shop just inside the entrance.

DTE and My Sister got to ride on the elephants. I wanted to go (but was taking care of the TB and couldn't) DTY thought she wanted to go, until it was time to climb on the elephant. She stayed back and cried instead.

We had a great time! I told TLOML that every time he takes me back to a Renaissance fair I will let him get another piece to go with his kilt. :) I foresee many fairs in our future.

A Special Treat

I had heard about a cupcake truck in our area. Right away I couldn't wait to go! How much fun would it be to take the girls to get a cupcake from the cupcake truck. Way better than any ice cream truck!
We made a trip the other day and the girls saw the truck. Is that an ice cream truck? No, it's a cupcake truck! The girls each picked a flavor and devoured their treat merrily while Daddy played with his RC cars. The cupcakes were great, but the real treat was doing something fun and new for my girls.
